Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett Kari Matchett, an Canadian actor, is recognized for her performances in films such as 'Apartment Hunting 'Men with Brooms', and  The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and later moved to Alberta, Canada where she completed her high school. She began to develop an interest in acting during her teens. She was a student at the National Theatre School' in Montreal. Later, she went to the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996 she made her TV debut as a supporting character in the Canadian show 'The Rez. In the year 1996, she was a supporting role in the series from Canada titled 'The Rez.' In the late 1990s, she made her debut in film in the form of the film "Papertrail" and then acted in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." She was also a supporting role in shows like "A Nero Wolfe Mystery and 'Blue Murder. Although she was appearing in films during the decade of 2000 and beyond however, her screen appearances were less than her television appearances. In 1998, she was given the role of the lead in the role of Colleen Blessed in the Canadian drama series Power Play. The series ran for 2 seasons and had 26 episodes. It received commercial and critical acclaim. She was nominated in the 'Gemini Award for her role in the show. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. She didn't reveal the name of her son's father however. According to some sources, her ex-boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett in the late 1990s. They began dating and were married in 1998. However, the marriage did not last long and the couple split in the year 2006.
