Pollyanna McIntosh
Pollyanna McIntosh was born in Portugal
and Colombia However, she later returned to Scotland where she began performing
on stage at The Edinburgh Festival. After 16 she moved to London and was soon
involved in the indie filmmaking (her first pay-per-view was as stoner in
Irvine Welsh's The Acid House (1998)) and theatre and acting as both an actress
and director. In 2004, she relocated to Los Angeles to direct "The
Woolgatherer" an original play which Anne Dudek (a regular guest on Mad
Men (2007)/Big Love (2006)) was directed. It was well-received by critics. Her
first US movie role was as "Stacy" an empathetic and reborn Christian
who appeared in Headspace (2005). Her first film role was in Headspace (2005)
as the manipulative, born-again Christian "Thumper Wint". This comedy
was written by Heathers (1988). Exam (2009) The film, which was made in London
and LA is her next film. It was nominated for Outstanding British Debut by the
BAFTA and won the Santa Barbara Film Festival's Best Independent Award. The film's
critics were awed by Pollyanna's ability to "emotionally vulnerable"
her tough, ambitious character. GQ simply stated "stunning Pollyanna
